29 Jan 09Capturing the Customer Voice
I am delighted that finally people who have used the 'mental health' services in Ireland are speaking out with conviction and courage.
I believe while the mindset of our services is one of control it is very difficult to lead a self determined life.
Adults need to be free to choose and if they want support it should be their choice.
It is a disgrace that many of us who have used the 'mental health' services cannot find a humane, supportive, kind, non controlling service in Ireland today. We are led like sheep to the slaughter.....ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

Hi my name is Aidan Lilley I am Social Science student at UCC. I attended the inaugural confrence at the Rochestown Park hotel as one of my subjects is Mental Health. I felt it to be an eyeopening experience which was very positive and emotional and well organised. I was overcome by the courage of the service users getting up in front of hundreds of people and sharing their experiences and would like to thank them and wish them more power for the future and future conferences. It is great to see that finally people are having their say and hope the NSUE is a great sucess..Thank You.
Sincerely
