14 Dec 08Position Papers
Position papers are essentially discussion documents outlining a position that individuals feel may be appropriate in light of their own personal experiences or the experiences of others.
The NSUE will be better able to represent these views if a positon paper is posted on the website for further debate. In this way we can generate a set position for our representatives to espouse and explain to policy makers and professionals.
For an example of a position paper, please see below the initial NSUE position paper on medication .
Details of how to draw up a position paper is also available below.

Wow. I've just read the first paragraph of the draft position paper on medication. Heavy stuff. Certainly it seems to favour a particular style of writing. I'm tempted to try write the same content in a plainer collection of words.
But it promises to be a good read all the same, very political, totally post-modern.
I don't want to know who wrote it until I've read it all.
I love the idea of "position papers", love the potential of people being able to lay out their ideas for others to consider.
What I'd really like too is a space for people to draw, make pictures that tell a thousand words, represent their concepts in wildly differing styles. I suppose I wish I could draw pictures that show what it's like for me now.
Whenever anyone reads this, I hope you follow the urge to writing something too.
